Passbox is one of the essential equipment of cleanroom, which is used to enter or exit goods to the cleanroom. The use of passbox makes it unnecessary for personnel to enter or exit the cleanroom to transfer items, which significantly reduces the risk of contamination.<\/p>

Passboxes are divided into two categories of active and passive according to their function.<\/p>

  1. Active Passbox<\/h2><\/li><\/ol>

    It has a ventilation system and filtered air flows through the nozzles\/vents installed in the passbox. Active passboxes are divided into two categories:<\/p>

    In this type of passbox, a separate fan motor is installed on the device, which makes it possible to adjust the fan operation and also does not require a duct system.<\/p>

    In this type of afterbox, the incoming air flow to the afterbox is provided through the air handler and requires ductwork.<\/p>

    The components of the active afterbox are as follows:<\/p>

    3. Door status indicator light<\/li>
    4. UV lamp (optional)<\/li>
    5. Fan motor<\/li>

    8. Vent \/ nozzle for air discharge<\/li>

      2. Passive Pass Box<\/h2>

      In this type of pass boxes, there is no air circulation. All pass boxes (active \/ passive pass boxes) are equipped with an interlock system. That is, when one door is opened, the opposite door is automatically locked, preventing direct communication between the cleanroom<\/a> and the environment.<\/p>

      The components of the passive pass box are as follows:<\/p>

        3. All-galvanized stainless steel with electrostatic paint coating<\/li>
        4. Panel passbox (sandwich panel)<\/li><\/ol>
